Bavaria's finest: Zugspitze & Eibsee
Day-trip to Bavaria’s most breathtaking gems: the highest mountain of Germany & Eibsee
Tour description
Escape the city and spend a magical day at Germany’s most stunning natural gems — Lake Eibsee & Zugspitze, the highest mountain of Germany in Garmisch-Patenkirchen. We’ll pick you up at your hotel or accommodation in Munich at 9 AM in a comfortable, air-conditioned minivan. We go straight to Garmisch-Patenkirchen in a 1.5-hour drive where we head up Zugspitze by cable car (additional costs: 75 € per person, 60 € for teenagers 16-18 years, 37,50 € for children 6 - 15 years). On the so called 'Top of Germany' you'll have enough time to enjoy the view, take a selfie at the picture spot of the summit cross, learn about the sad truth of the last glacier of Germany and have lunch and a refreshing beer if you like on the highest beer garden of Germany. In the afternoon we go back to the valley by cablecar and we bring you to lake Eibsee. You’ll have the freedom to explore the lake your way and have the choice of various activities. Whether you're feeling active or laid-back, there’s something for everyone: - Hiking: Walk the scenic 7.5 km loop trail around the lake. It takes around 2 hours and offers incredible views from every angle. - Stand-Up Paddling: Rent a SUP board (additional cost: 20 € per hour) and glide over crystal-clear waters past tiny islands. It’s easier than you think and a lot of fun! - Boat Rental: Prefer to stay dry? Grab a rowing boat (additional cost: 16 € per hour) or pedal boat (additional cost: 19 € per hour) and cruise the lake at your own pace. - Swimming: Visiting in summer (June–August)? Cool off with a refreshing swim in the pristine alpine waters. Bring a floatie for extra fun! - Relax & Recharge: Prefer to unwind? Enjoy an afternoon snack or treat yourself to a slice of delicious Bavarian cake and a coffee on the lakeside terrace — the perfect way to soak in the views and atmosphere. Renting a stand-up paddle board or boat depends on the availability on site. We will contact you beforehand to ensure we can book a SUP or boat for you in advance. Latest at 4:30 PM, we’ll head back to Munich. You’ll arrive by 6:00 PM and be dropped off right at your hotel or accommodation — relaxed, refreshed, and filled with mountain memories.
