Boat, walk & swim tour to Neuschwanstein

Experience Neuschwanstein in a different way: by rowboat on Lake Alpsee at the foot of the castle, on foot just as King Ludwig II did, and with a true hidden gem: a refreshing swim at a local lake! Spend a perfect summer day at Neuschwanstein Castle with us - this is a unique full-day guided tour that nobody else offers (June - September)! Your tour begins at 8:00 AM, when we pick you up directly from your hotel or accommodation in Munich in a comfortable, air-conditioned minivan. After a 2-hour drive to Hohenschwangau village, where the castle is located. Before walking up to the castle, you'll discover the castle and the ancient fantasy world of king Ludwig II by a rowing boat (or paddle boat - both is subject to availability) on lake Alpsee. You will see both castles, Neuschwanstein & Hohenschwangau by rowing boat and can take unique pictures from the lake. After the rowing we walk directly walk up to Neuschwanstein Castle (around 1 hour) where you will join an English Guided Tour (English guide or Audio Guides in your native language (same price than Guided tour) - subject to availability). After the guided tour we will walk to Mary’s bridge, the most famous viewpoint of Neuschwanstein Castle. We descend by public bus back to Hohenschwangau village. Now we head to a real insider tip: lake Schwansee - a paradisiac oasis of tranquility. And a special glimpse at Neuschwanstein Castle is waiting for you. There you can take some more pictures of Neuschwanstein Castle from afar and enjoy a refreshing swim in the clear lake and relax and unwind for the rest of the day at the shores of the lake. We head back to Munich latest at 4:30 pm, so that you will in Munich at 7 pm.
